you can go further by having the option to specify, in the auctioning operation, how variation is handled. for instance, being able to say that for group X, only buy, post or cancel by comparing with items with a matching itemID+ilvl, or ItemID+lvl, ItemID+lvl+quality, ItemID+item suffix ID,.... I'm sure tsm can be simplified that way. it would both solve the tedious imports and let the user chose what he wants to undercut.

also includes data like sale rate (consolidated by the community, not by ourselves, it will never be as accurate)

agree. this is close to my suggestion to allow sold data to be queried: http://suggestions.tradeskillmaster.com/forums/208541-general/suggestions/38317843-tsm-api-endpoints-for-detailed-sold-data

this shows that the TSM sold data is really useful and is something to expand on. basically we can use the data to make more gold. if we have an api, we could work this page's suggestion into excel.

ignoring X option: I think it can only be worth the risk if there's only 1 auction, but you're right there needs to be a % to enter so that tsm knows when to ignore, and when to undercut. if the undercut is too big, do like if that 1 auction doesn't exist.

@ rabid ninja, no, this is not about determining a lowest post price, but avoiding undercutting by too much under one specific situation.

imagine 5 high end BoE gear listed between 500k and 505k, you could want to undercut under 250k if many people are listing it under 250k, but if there is just 1 that goes from 500k to 250k (for 48h), then you could win big if you wait until the 250k listing goes away, then sell your item near 500k. it's not about just 1 item, but if you repeat this rule with all the boe you have, you just make more gold.

Forgot to mention that would only work if the tickbox ignores the 1 lowest auction if this is the ONLY auction listed that is between 1c and your normal price.

Or if the difference between the lowest auction and the second lowest is way too high.

It's a bit complicated to imagine but hope you got the idea :) there's a good optimization for TSM to get in that specific spot.

ItemQuantityBought, ItemQuantitySold, ItemQuantityInventory, ItemQuantityDbmkt, ItemQuantityRegionMkt, grouped by Itemlevel+itemID with a parameter to group by itemID only.

this seems to be a similar suggestion than "referencing quantities" into formulas: http://suggestions.tradeskillmaster.com/forums/208541-general/suggestions/38749258-allow-inventory-quantity-as-reference

auctionDB, regionmkt, inventory quantity, ... it's needed in TSM for efficient goldmaking.

would love to see many quantity data sources, player bags, api, and including options on incoming auction results. currently tsm doesn't know how to hide a shopping/sniper deal when you already have 20 of those that you can't sell. it can be automated, instead of having the user checking. quantities please :p

number of current listing count (per realm and on region) would be more useful for that than number of times seen. if an item has been seen 50 times over a year, doesn't mean that the dbmarket is correct, the last seen could be weeks ago and dbmarket could be 10x too low or 10x too high. needs to be "real time" count imo.

as the team know, they can do great things thanks to their app allowing to gather buy data, sold data (separated), realm auctions data, and more.

that would nullify the need to have reddit woweconomy posts of "data gathering" also...we don't have to type it and get 1 sample out of thousands, we can automate it

I think reset scan was redundant. Reset scan made beginners believed that you can get a lot of gold by reseting. You can only make gold with that if you play with high volume items like mats and that's more about gambling, you're hoping for the supply to stay low enough and the demand to be present so that you can have the time to sell your items higher. Players like to speculate like this by looking at raid schedule and other game events.

if you want to flip mats I think you already have the tools (this includes custom price and smart avgbuy). Would need to have a ItemQuantityPossessed value source ideally but I believe there's a suggestion already.

you can now include more than 3 links.
also the features should not only include randomly chosen items, it should make sure it does not include twice the same link, adding as many link as possible the written text being priority, and it should also randomly chose between x messages, which includes the links. frequency should be added to.

    ex:
message 1 which includes random items from group a, b will appear 1/3 of the time
message 2 which includes random items from group c, f will appear 2/3 of the time

all in one clicked macro posting on the select canal

Now as a value source. Required to know if an item has an accurate pricing

Here is an example, the Natural Ward : https://theunderminejournal.com/#eu/aegwynn/item/31399

So, at the time we have to actually think that the price might be non accurate (could lead to mistake in the flipping market) and check a website like TUJ to see that the EU quantity is 2, meaning that the region avg price of 55k is not realistic.

The undermine journal manages to get a realistic price though, somehow.
Having the number of auction is really needed in my opinion.
I also think we should be able to ignore a pricing if the EU quantity is too low.

You probably don't want to use volume with very little data. Your best bet might be to start off the accurate region data, divide by the average players per realm, and multiply by the player count on your realm; you can easily find a realistic number by counting unique names on the AH api dumps.
