I think I suggested or commented years ago to use both buy & sell user data to make up DBRegionSoldPerDay
it was a fairly bad idea...buy and sell shouldn't be consolidated even though tsm user's buy is someone's else sold, those are not at all the same thing
genuine sold data is poisoned by sniper's extremely low buy value
you could buy a rare high end boe on low pop real for 500g instead of 5 mil, and it would account for DBRegionSoldPerDay, this doesn't make much sense
it shall be split into 2 price sources regardless of data samples.
optionally knowing how many data samples were used would be great (DBRegionSoldPerDayCount - I know it sounds annoying but it would still be useful to know)
unless you already fixed this which I would love to know.
There is not enough data available for this, unless Blizzard decides to start providing this data (in which case buys and sales would be identical).
if a TSM user just doesn't sell, then it makes total sense to have no data, this would indicate that the price source might be too high or that the player needs to adapt the price to actually make a sale
there is value in the sale data of TSM users because TSM users are expected to know what the item is worth
TSM users are supposed to make gold and to make gold they will usually buy low, sell high
nothing is so sure about non TSM users. they will more often provide mispriced and undervalued items
it's better to have no data or very little data than having consolidated data from two very different contexts which will create non useful data, since the data will be poisoned by massively underpriced value from sniper bought
if you'd like to let us do our own data source instead please see suggestion : http://suggestions.tradeskillmaster.com/forums/208541-general/suggestions/38317843-tsm-api-endpoints-for-detailed-sold-data
can you confirm that you receive this message? thanks!
